Called and was able to get a same day appt. Smooth check-in after small wait. (I arrived 10 minutes early.) Just a check-up wanting particular attention paid to tires and wiper blades. Mechanic came into waiting room suggesting two filters needed replacing as well. Left in 70 minutes and was able to use dealer coupon for wiper blade discount. Yay!

I priced 2025 cars at many other dealerships in the central/southern part of the state, but found Dan Hecht offered the most features for a great price, and allowed a fair trade in amount as well. Took 1-1/2 hrs for my oil change/tire rotation. Also had in to fix my service tire monitor system warning that was on. And it didn’t get done like was supposed to. It is still on. I discovered my car outside and done ( no idea how long was actually out there) and had to ask about it being done. Front office girl had to hunt down service tech to even get my bill so I could pay and leave.

I had a "minor" collision with my garage door! I had just purchased a brand new 25 Equinox in April, and in June, I raised the lift gate inside my garage when the door wasn't all the way open. The lift gate hit the top of my garage door. The damage was to the main handle and camera, so the repairmen at Dan Hecht replaced the whole lift gate. First of all, Tim and his crew comforted me when I visited them--it was my first accident and to a brand new vehicle, so I was very upset. They were professional, knowledgeable, and informative all the way through the process. I had my vehicle back within a month, and you cannot tell the lift gate has been replaced--it's perfect!

Went in for crystal fusion. My mistake was not checking the work before leaving . Went shopping, it was raining, when I was done shopping, I turned my wipers on and noticed the same bug guts as before the crystal fusion. I was very upset. I payed for the service and got very poor service. I took it back , took valuable time , they had to redo it . Not my first issue with the service department

I feel the finance manager that we dealt with on our 1st day at the dealership was full of himself. I did not like his lack of professionalism. I was questioning the price he quoted and he just wanted to say he was correct cause he posts the ads on the website. Honestly, if it wasn't for our salesperson Maggie, we almost left the deal on the table. Thankfully, we were placed with the much more respectable finance individual to finish our paperwork and close the deal. One thing that does bother me is how the finance team pushes the buyer not to use GM financing. Definitely makes me concerned that banks are selling rates to the dealership and they are getting marked up.

I arrived and had to wait for several minutes for someone to wait on me. When I called to schedule my appointment I made sure to tell them I needed the Crystal Fusion done on the windshield. When I arrived I double checked to see what services they were planning to do and Cyrstal Fusion had not been scheduled. If I wouldn't have double checked they would not have done it. Service is unreliable and incredibly slow.

A deer jumped on the hood of my car on October 5, thankfully the engine appeared fine. I took it to Dan Hecht's Bodyshop when they opened on October 6. Their estimator totaled in that day. My insurance company did not total it until October 26. Dan Hecht gave me a loaner which was a life saver with my schedule. They could not have been more helpful or kinder. (Still waiting on the insurance check, but Dan Hecht passing with flying colors.)

Replaced/fixed what was asked. Except for the trailer plug. All they did was plug in a tester. It wasn't inspected further after tester "showed it working". Had to take to a different shop where the issue was found and properly fixed.

Oil change and tire rotation was a 2 hour appointment! My car was brought to front of building 40 minutes after I brought it in - but I was not contacted about it being ready for another 1 hour and 20 minutes! The nice lady at the service desk made 3 attempts with service department to find out if my car was ready, since it was parked in front, but she couldn’t get an answer - “might be waiting for more service”! The service department has gone downhill since there was been so much staffing changes! The problem was not understaffing - there was plenty of staff just hanging around when I pulled in and there were only 2-3 other customers also waiting! If there would have been a problem with my vehicle, a little communication to me would have been appreciated- but there was no excuse for not taking care of getting my car released! Something definitely needs to be done in the service department!

The woman that checked us in was what I would call snarky (unprofessional). While we were out of town our check engine light went on. We had somome check with a diagnostic tool and they said both oxygen sensors went out. When we got home I called Dan Hecht and spoke to her and told her what I needed and to set up an appt. She told us a diagnostic test would run $138. Told her we didn't need or want that. She said if that didn't fix the problem we would need one anyway. She was upset that I didn't want to pay the extra $138 for the test on top of the $538. When we took the car in for service I told her my name and she said Oh yeah you were the one that didn't want a diagnostic test and to just put in 2 sensors and if that didn't work we would need the test anyway. I said that I would take that chance. When the car was finished and she brought up the bill I asked her if that fixed the problem and she said she didn't know and turned around and left. I know she knew because she would have been all to happy to let me know that I needed another test and further repairs . Over the past 30 years we have bought several new and used cars, trucks and had repairs from that dealership and won't be going back again.

I dropped my vehicle off at 9:15 for an oil change and tire rotation. I had a 10:45 appointment scheduled. Some had called me at 7:48am to verify the appointment. At 3:00 I called to check on my vehicle because I hadn't heard anything back and they were just bringing the vehicle in because I had called. I had to have my grandson picked up at 4:00 and was late because I couldn't get my vehicle till 3:50. Only explanation I received was sorry, your advisor was off this afternoon and we don't know what happened. Well if my appt was at 10:45 and he was off in the afternoon then someone really dropped the ball. I always drop my car off because I know things can run late but 4 hours late is uncalled for. Was not very happy with my service this time around.

Then with the holiday season and shortened hours, plus having to have one sensor painted it took additional days. I finally received it back December 30th. The work was great just scheduling was horrible. The first week I didn’t even get a loaner car. However, Tammy was amazing! She did her best keeping me informed along the way and you tell she genuinely cared.

In my opinion I believe I was low balled on my trade in. With the below number of miles and overall condition for that year. But I was pleased with the deal otherwise. I know you have to make money but still you should try to make the customer happy and give them the maximum amount for trade-in. I see you have it listed for 44559. You could have offered me 40. This is definitely a learning experience. Sales man was outstanding and went the extra mile. Kudos to Chad.

I ordered a new key fob for my vehicle and was told it would be covered by the warranty. When I picked it up I was told it would be over $400. When I asked why was it all of the sudden tha much vs free I was told my mileage was over the warranty. It was over by just a little bit and that was never mentioned when I ordered it. In fact I’m not sure my mileage wasn’t over the magic number when I ordered it. I ordered it quite a while back and would have for sure been in earlier had I known that waiting to pick it up would be a matter of $400. I’m very disappointed in being charged that much after being told it would be free. This is the kind of treatment that makes me want to go elsewhere for a new vehicle.

The dealership had my vehicle the entire day for a scheduled deluxe detail and oil change/tire rotation. I even received the reminder text about the “service” appointment (oil/tires). I called to verify it was both detail and the servicing and they confirmed that yes, all would be done. When I arrived at the end of the day just the detail was done. It didn’t surprise me because these types of mistakes have happened frequently in the past 2 years and I’ve alerted both my salesman and the owner of the dealership about the poor service and lack of communication. When the service manager came out to tell me the oil change/tire rotation wasn’t done because “detail didn’t let them know my car was there”, I said their service was messed up and she rolled her eyes and gave me a dirty look, so I said “And now I know why…it’s you.” She said I was rude. I said that I wouldn’t be purchasing another car there ever again…even though my husband and I have purchased 5 vehicles there in 7 years! I requested that our salesman be paged to the desk to let him know we appreciated his help in sales but we wouldn’t be buying any more cars there ever again because the service is poor and this was the last straw…and service is very important once the sale is made.
